Verbarius tells the time as it is

The clock strikes midnight - literally

22 February 2007 16:05 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Having trouble reading a clock? Then you need the Verbarius from Art Lebedev.

Instead of a pair of hands or a digital display, the clock, which is available in five languages, reads it out to you.

"It’s either forty-five minutes past four, or fifteen minutes to five, or four forty-five, or a quarter to five", the product page says on its website.

Supposedly the first clock in the world that writes the time in human languages: Russian, English, German, Spanish and French, the timepiece will be available in November.

The company is offering the clock at $158.25 if you pre-order before September and $183.12 if you order after September.
