Fujifilm FinePix A820 digital camera announced

Entry-level A series camera launced

It's not just Canon and Pentax announcing a wrath of digital cameras today, Fujifilm has got in on the act and announced a new camera in it’s a series range.

The new model, called the FinePix A820 features Fujifilm's Super CCD HR sensor and RP Processor and joins the existing FinePix A800 and A610.

In a first for A Series cameras, The FinePix A820 features a Fujinon 4x optical zoom lens, an ISO 800 sensitivity at full resolution of 8.3 megapixels.

For newbies, the camera features 14 selectable scene modes including Beach, Snow, Sports and even Baby, for natural reproduction of skin tones, among the scene position modes available, users can be creative with their picture taking, regardless of the situation or their experience behind the lens.

Sporting a large 2.5-inch LCD screen with anti glare the camera also boasts QVGA movie capture at 30 frames per second and a rather poor 10MB of internal memory.

The AA battery powered FinePix A820 will be available from June 2007, priced at £149.
