Alienware has added another option to its Area-51 7500 desktop powerhouse.

Now you can elect the Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 processor to the system, which power the machine with 2.4GHz speed with 8MB Cache.

This isn't the top of the line processor for this machine, as Alienware also offers the Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 with 2.93GHz and 4MB Cache of 8MB Cache.

The new Q6600 has four computing quads and promises a performance increase on processor-intensive applications.

The system with the Q6600 option costs from £1970.
