Brando Battery Converter turns AA batteries into D Cell batteries

Works like a Russian doll

D-Cell batteries are a funny thing, they always power portable stereos or children's toys, but not much more. The trouble is, D-Cell powered devices are so few and far between, that having them to hand isn't always easy.

The answer? The Battery Converter from US gadget store Brando. The device works by the outer “shell” opening up to reveal a slot for the smaller (AA) battery.

The downside is that you won't have as much power available to you as you would if you are using a D-Cell battery - they are that big for a reason - but it does mean that you can power your gadgets using any spare AA batteries you've got lying around the house.

Yours for $5 plus postage.
