Action Cam from Oregon Scientific for extreme sports enthusiasts

Waterproof and rugged

Oregon Scientific, a name that brings to mind temperature gauges and radio-controlled clocks, has released a new Action Cam for sporty types.

It can handle whatever sport you throw at it, being weatherproof and ruggedly designed to clip on or be stowed anywhere.

Priced at £160, the Action Cam is wireless and stores video, shot at 640 x 480 VGA at 30fps, on 32MB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 2GB.

The Action Cam promises to be waterproof and ideal for wet and wild activities, including snowboarding and kayaking, as it's resistant up to a depth of 3m (10ft).

Sound is also recorded, and status can be monitored on a small LCD display, which unfortunately doesn't allow you to view footage.

It doesn't come with editing software, but footage can be edited on any Windows-based PC.
