After launching it in Korea and teasing the release date, LG has finally launched its Shine mobile phone, the latest model in its Black Label series.

Shine is a full-metal slider phone that's reflective enough to be a mirror, and reveals a screen and keyboard beneath its reflective coating.

Connectivity includes GPRS and EDGE compatibility, as well as Bluetooth and USB, but no Wi-Fi.

Images captured by the built-in 2MP camera can be saved on to expandable MicroSD card and framed by the 2.2-inch screen.

As you would expect, Shine also incorporates a media player with support for MP3, WAV, and ACC++ formats.

LG is hoping that the Shine will take off in the UK has it has in Korea, where sales topped 200,000 since November.

The company has not released a price for the mobile, saying that it is likely to be free from most operators with certain contracts.
