Continuing the mobile hone announcements for today, LG has chimed in with a new variant of its Chocolate phone, the Chocolate Platinum.

The new KE800 has changed its style somewhat. Although it still has the glowing red touchpad, it now has a Platinum band and a slight tweak to its form and style.

The phone now has an SD memory card slot, as well as double the memory of the original, from 128MB to 256MB.

In addition, it now carries an FM radio as well as an upgraded 2Mp camera.

Its music playing abilities have been greatly improved, with a new 5-band graphic equaliser to adjust tones, and voice activated commands to let you search for your music.

Look out for the new model to hit the shelves soon.
