Casio launches EX-Z1050 and EX-Z75

Casio has launched two new models to its compact camera range, the EX-Z1050 and the EX-Z75.

The Z1050 is the 10.1MP successor to the Z1000, and is a bit smaller and lighter than its predecessor.

It features a wider-aspect 2.6-inch LCD screen, and ISO up to 800. Its processing power comes from the Exilim Engine 2.0 that improves image quality and boost performance, according to Casio.

It powers the camera to take seven shots per second until the memory is full, but only when taking images at a resolution of 2MP.

Other features include “Auto Tracking AF” to follow moving subjects, and a battery that lasts for about 370 shots.

It will go on sale for around £230 and be available in silver, black, gold, and pink.

Also launched today was the EX-Z75, also with a 2.6-inch LCD, but with a resolution of only 7.2MP.

It replaces the EX-Z70, and will be available from February for £180 in silver, blue, and pink.
