Garmin offers triathletes chance to win Tim Don as a training partner

Garmin will be showcasing its range of GPS fitness products at the TCR (Triathlon, Cycling and Running) show in Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey on 10-11 February at Stand A4.

Joining Garmin at regular intervals throughout the UK’s premier multisport and endurance show will be 2006 World Champion Triathlete Tim Don, who uses both a Garmin Forerunner and Edge to help him train.

Attendees to the show will have the chance to enter an exclusive competition to win Tim Don as their virtual training partner on their home turf. For one lucky winner, Tim Don will run and/or cycle around their regular training route and use a Garmin GPS unit to record his time, speed and distance. With this information uploaded onto www.motionbased.com the winner will also receive their own Garmin Forerunner 305 to allow them to train alongside a World Champion on their own ground using the Forerunner’s Virtual Partner facility. In addition, nine runners up will also win a Garmin Forerunner 305.

To win, entrants must enter their details at www.garmin.co.uk/timdon (available from 10th February 2007) and then be selected via a prize draw. The competition is open from the first day of the TCR Show until the end of March.

Tim will also be on hand to provide tips on how to get the most from your GPS unit when training. Tim has uploaded some of the training that he has recorded using his Garmin products on to http://tim.don.motionbased.com allowing fans to view his training schedule, and see how their times compare with the World Champion.
