It seems that no innocent gadget it safe from being drowned in a crass display of bling. Now there's the diamond-encrusted computer mouse for those of you with more money than you know what to do with.

Pat Says No, a Swiss company, has designed 18 carat white (or yellow) gold mice and has decorated them with a choice of two designs: diamond flower or scattered diamond.

If those two don't suit, you can customise your own with initials or whatever you like.

The mice are standard in function, with three buttons, USB connectors, and a 3-year warranty.

One will set you back a cool £12,400.
