One engineering gamer and Endgadget columnist, has created his own portable Wii laptop complete with TV screen.

The unit, which is a one-off and not currently for sale has a built-in close-range sensor bar, stereo sound, Gamecube port, 16:9 widescreen LCD, A/V jacks, port for external stock sensor bar, built-in power supply and even a compartment for the cord. It measures 8.6 inches wide, 7.7 inches long and 2 inches in total thickness.

Ben Heckendorn, the creator of the new console mod is also going to be writing a three-part "Making Of" to cover the process of building the device so you can make one at home.
