Pocket-lint readers not keen on the iPhone

Over half don't plan on buying one

Pocket-lint's latest poll shows a surprising number of readers are thoroughly unimpressed by the iPhone.

In a survey of over 740 people, 53% said they wouldn't be buying an iPhone – that's nearly 400 of you who aren't interested in it.

So where has Apple missed the mark? It could be because Apple hasn't yet announced a 3G model, or perhaps because it doesn't allow third party applications to run on it.

Most likely it's because of the price - $499 (£254) for the 4GB version, and $304 for the 8GB version, although perhaps this will be less with mobile contracts.
