Rumoured device has a touchscreen

There's a new phone of the moment on the Internet, and this one's got Google written all over it.

The Google Switch is said to be the name of an upcoming mobile phone created by a Google/Samsung partnership.

Blurry images have been circulating that claim to be the first shots of the device, which look like it's got a touchscreen and no keypad.

The contact application is said to be similar to Gtalk, and combines Gmail, text, and instant messaging.

One source told gadget blog Gizmodo that the device has no onboard storage, but rather that the applications are brought to the phone via the network through a web interface.

First the Prada phone, now this ... looks like the iPhone's facing some stiff competition.
