Those of you with shiny new camcorders are probably realising that you need an awful lot of memory when you're shooting.

Lexar has released new SDHC (High Capacity) cards in both its Platinum II and Standard product lines, with 4GB models to be available next month, and 8GB later this year.

The Platinum II versions have speeds rated at 60x, and are capable of write speeds of 9MB per second, while the standard SDHC cards are Class 2, provide write speeds of 2MB per second

Both are bundled with Corel Photo Album 6, and a card reader. The Platinum II 4GB version will be on sale for $100; the standard version, $80.
