MacWorld 2007: Belkin's Cooling Stand kills the heat from your laptop

CES2007: Belkin introduces Windows Easy Transfer Cable

Belkin has introduced two new products, one at MacWorld and one certainly not at MacWorld.

The first is a Cooling Stand designed to lift your laptop off the desk and create airflow around it.

It plugs into your computer's USB, which allows its fan to blow away heat emanated by the computer.

As a stand, it also raises the screen height to reduce neck strain and angles the keyboard so that it's more comfortable to type.

Belkin has also introduced the Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista. It's designed to facilitate moving personal files between an old Windows XP machine to a new Vista machine.

The 8-foot cable plugs in to your computers' USB ports, and then the Easy Transfer Wizard appeard to help you transfer important files.

It promises speeds of up to 480Mbps, and is available for $40.
