SanDisk has introduced its first widescreen portable media player, the Sansa View.

The flash-based Sansa View has 8GB worth of internal memory, enough for 33 hours of compressed video, and is equipped with an expansion slot. It features a 4-inch widescreen display for viewing photos (up to 16MP), play music, or view slideshows.

It also has integrated speakers for listening to music, and measures just 78.5 x 123 x 16.9mm.

The Sansa View will go on sale for around $300.
