CES 2007: Sharp launch 108 inch LCD

Now you just have to fine a living room to fit

7 January 2007 21:32 GMT / By Stuart Miles

When is too big too big? Sharp has announced a 108in LCD television at CES 2007 in Las Vegas surely making it the largest (so far) LCD screen available.

Although not for sale yet, Sharp has said that it will ship "this summer" in the US.

However the announcement of the screen goes against what the company's CEO told Pocket-lint last year when he said "Anything above 50-inches is a waste of time for the home".

Expect to see the new screens at conference centres or concerts soon.

The weight? 900lbs or 450kg and when it came to moving it, it took five people and a trolley.
