Watch more than just DVDs on the go

Philips has launched two new portable DVD players with iPod docking and memory card readers at CES 2007 in Las Vegas.

Unveiled for the first time at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the DCP750 and DCP850 with 7in and 8.5in widescreens respectively will allow users to watch both DVDs or connect their iPods to watch movie footage on a bigger screen.

Both models also feature a memory card reader, which can display digital photos or play DivX movies and play a broad range of video-based media, including DVD±R and DVD±RW formats, (S)VCD and MPEG4.

As you might expect, the docking station also charges an iPod while viewing while still promising to deliver 2.5 hours of playtime from its own built-in, rechargeable battery.

The DCP750 and DCP850 will be available in the first quarter of 2007 in the US at a suggested retail price of $149 and $199 respectively.
