This strange thing, believe it or not, is a refrigerator. It's a design concept right now, but the idea, according to Yanko Design, is that it “[tries] to bring the memory of tree house in our childhood to the kitchen in daily life”.

It has five containers or cabinets arranged around a truck that opens by pressing on it. Some of the cabinets store fruit so that you can “pick” them, while one of them is supposed to look like a birdhouse, where you store eggs and pluck them from the nest.

Gadget blog Gizmodo calls it “Tree House Refrigerator Design for the Certifiably Insane", and we're inclined to agree.
