CES 2007: BenQ unveils four new projectors at CES

BenQ has upgraded its digital projector line and has added four new models to the range.

The MP721, MP721C, MP611, and MP611C feature similar specifications, but each offers something different so that you can choose the one that suits your needs – in a business setting, school, or home theatre system.

Designed with the presenter in mind, the projectors let you know they're powered on with a small tone, and power off if no input sources are detected after an amount of time that you specify.

A panel-key lock prevents you from hitting keys inadvertently during a presentation, while an on-screen timer lets you know how long you've been waffling, and a Q? Hot FAQ Key gives you tips and advice should you get stuck with how to use the projector.

The projectors operate with a sound of just 25dB, and can throw an image visible on a blackboard, or in a bright room, thanks to their 2100 to 2500 ANSI Lumens and 2000:1 contrast ratio.

All accept analog RGB, component video, composite video, and S-Video inputs; the MP712 and MP721C also accept DVI-I input and can be fitted with a LinkPro wireless module.

The projectors will be introduced at CES, and will retail for $1500 for the MP721; $1000 for the MP721C; $900 for the MP611; and $750 for the MP611C.
