Medal of Honor is coming to the Nintendo Wii, says games developer EA.

The latest installment in the franchise is to be called Medal of Honor Vanguard, and promises to keep the historical accuracy and authenticity for which the brand is known.

Medal of Honor Vanguard will be released in March 2007 for both the Wii and Sony’s PS2 console.

This edition will give gamers the chance to step into the boots of Frank Keegan, Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division, who battles through Europe, from Operation Husky in Sicily, to Operation Varsity in Nazi Germany.

EA also promises that this first edition of the game to be released on the Nintendo Wii platform will take full advantage of the Wii’s unique controllers.

“Medal of Honor Vanguard features a strong storyline told in classic MOH fashion", explained Matt Sentell, Senior Producer at EALA. “We are really excited to offer this game both on the PS2 and Wii, which will allow fans to experience MOH in a completely new way.”
