Picasa Web Albums gets new photo ordering features. Software, Online, Photo sharing, Picasa, Microsoft 0

Google has unveiled a few new features to Picasa Web Albums that, while not being groundbreaking, add some useful functionality to the online site.

The major new addition is the unveiling of print ordering from various firms. This takes the hassle out of uploading images to a dedicated printing service; you just upload as you would normally to your web album, and then choose which images you want to print.

At the moment Google has deals with Shutterfly and PhotoWorks, but it plans to add more soon.

It's not just users who upload who can order prints, but friends that are invited to use the albums as well.

Inevitable, video sharing has been made a part of the albums application. New searching tools have been integrated, so that you can search your own captions, album titles, descriptions, and tags as well as searching across your friends' public albums.
