Evesham has released a rather large, low-priced notebook with a 17-inch screen, the Quest A430.Evesham calls it “aggressively priced,” as it starts at £899 including VAT. It runs on AMD's Turian Dual Core processor, and comes with 256MB graphic memory backing up an Nvidia GeForce 7600 GPU.
The 17-inch display incorporates a 1.3Mp webcam for easy video chatting, while WLAN and Bluetooth connectivity will take care of your wireless needs.
A built in card reader provide support for SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro removable media, but doesn't, unfortunately, read CF cards. Audio and speakers are also incorporated, along with 4 USB 2.0, FireWire, and VGA ports, and PCMCIA and Express Card slots.
It weights 3.5Kg, as the super-large screen means it can't be featherlight. A 15.4-inch model is also available, the Quest A425. Hardware, Laptops, Evesham, Intel
