Sony follows NW-HD1 with NW-HD2 announcement

3 October 2004 16:02 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Not weeks after Sony's NW-HD1 seems to have arrived in the shops in the UK, Sony has already announced an update - the NW-HD2. However beofer you curse and swear, apart from the colour there isn't much different.

In what seems to be a crack at the iPod Mini market (only in colour, not in size) you'll soon be able to get the NW-HD2 in three colours; blue, pink and the original silver.

Sony has also yet to confirm whether the new model will receive the flash memory update that will allow it to play MP3 tracks following Sony's dramatic u-turn a couple of weeks ago.
