Asus has launched the V2 notebook computer for business travellers with built-in 3.5G connectivity.

The V2 incorporates an HSDPA module that facilitates download speeds of up to 10x faster than regular 3G connectivity.

The 14-inch laptop also features 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 2.0.

Again with the business traveller in mind, the computer is secured through fingerprint authentication that promises to bypass several layers of skin to obtain an accurate reading.

For communication through video chat and VoIP the V2 offers a built-in microphone as well as a 240º swivel webcam.

It's powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors, comes with 256MB of RAM, with 512MB of HyperMemory, and starts with an 80GB hard drive, upgradeable to 160GB.

An optional docking station is also available.
