The RunAway from SwitchEasy is a natty accessory that allows all runners to use the wonderful Nike+. All you need is an iPod nano and shoes with laces. There’s no longer any need to buy Nike trainers to benefit from the innovative system that we have reported previously on Pocket-lint.

Available in six colours, the hard polycarbonate casing will protect the Nike+ sensor in all weathers and an easy twist and lock mechanism makes it simple to attach it to, and remove it from, your trainers. An accessible on/off button not only allows you to save power but also enables you to take your RunAway on airplanes.

So, rather than forking out for a pair of Nike trainers designed for Nike+, but perhaps not designed for the way you run, just part with £5.99 for this little gadget. Of course, you’ll also need the Nike+iPod kit, which will cost you £19.99. Both are available at good iPod accessory stores.
