Gone are the days of the simply deafening metal alarm clocks. Today's versions are much more sophisticated. Take this Flying Alarm Clock from Boysstuff.co.uk.

The top of this gadgets takes off and flies around the room when your alarm is scheduled to go off, making a whining sound like a mosquito. If you hit snooze, it will temporarily come to a stop, only to take off again after your snooze time is up.
