Mustek has launched two new portable TV/DVD players in the run up to Christmas. With integrated an DVB-T receiver, the devices can not only playback DVDs and CDs, but digital TV as well. The first of the two is the Mustek MP70D, which features a 7-inch widescreen LCD display and supports DivX and JPEG files as well as music and movie formats. With anti-shock protection, the device promises smooth playback, and can store up to 1000 programmes.
Thanks to the DVB-T tuners, an electronic program guide is included. The MP70D is powered from rechargeable batteries and a 70 volt car adaptor.
The MP80D is a step up from the MP70D, and features an integrated USB port and MMC/SD card slot so that programmes can be recorded on the go. The 8-inch LCD produces good image quality with progressive-scanning.
Other features include all those of the MP70D, plus integrated stereo speakers and an infrared remote control.
The MP70D retails for around £180, while the MP80D is on the shelves for £200. Home Cinema, DVD, Mustek
