Fujifilm and Olympus announce 1Gb xD Picture Card

Last week it was Delkin with a 2Gb and 4Gb models - this week it's the turn of the xD-PictureCard. Fujifilm has announced at the start of Photokina this morning that it will ba offering a 1Gb card.

The new xD-Picture Card 1GB will be available commercially from the first quarter of 2005 although no price has been set in the UK. Launched in 2002, the card is actually road mapped to store 8Gb on a single card.

The xD Picture card is also used by Olympus who has also announced a 1Gb version.
