Today’s website of the day is brightcove.com the home page for a truly evolutionary step in TV.

Internet TV has been around for quite some time now and with the advent of sites such as YouTube and MySpace encouraging people to share their creativity through visual media, some people might be thinking they can turn their content into profit. Brightcove can help.

They’ve recently launched a free service that will allow you to launch your own internet TV channel. As long as you are the owner of the video content (i.e. not just posting the latest collection of virals to hit your inbox), you could find your content being watched on thousands of screens across the globe. And that’s the sort of thing that advertisers just love.

If you want to see what sort of thing is possible, check out the SkySports.com Ashes highlights – Brightcove provide the technology for it.
