Sony finds defect in Cyber-shot digital cameras

First it was the company's laptop batteries that ended in recalling almost 10 million units, now it looks like Sony has been hit with a dodgy batch digital cameras.
Sony has announced that its Cyber-shot compact digital cameras might not work in warm and humid areas and that it would repair any affected cameras free of charge.
The cameras affected are DSC-F88, DSC-M1, DSC-T1, DSC-T11, DSC-T3, DSC-T33, DSC-U40 and DSC-U50 models.
In a statement from Sony, the LCDs in the eight models above may not show images correctly or the cameras may not be able to take photos at all.
Out of the 1 million cameras sold between September 2003 to January 2005, Sony expects just 4000 could need repairs.
