Limited special edition

When Richard Burns succumbed to cancer a year ago, the world of motor racing - and indeed the entire sporting world - lost one of its true greats and a gentleman to boot.

In honour of his career, Subaru - the manufacturer for who Burns plied his trade so effectively - are releasing a limited special edition of the Impreza WRX STI. The RB320 features around £6000 of extras including the awesome Prodrive performance pack, but the whole shebang costs a fiver under £30,000. And with 320bhp, 0-60mph in 4.8 seconds and 0-100mph in 12.2 seconds, that’s a monster for the price.

Available only in black, the RB320 also gets new 18in rims, specially developed suspension, sports spring kit with revised rear anti-roll bar, and a lowered ride height. Also standard are a chrome mesh front grille, front lip spoiler, quick-shift gearchange, side sill plates, RB320-branded gear knob, carpet mats and exclusive exterior badging. Each owner will also receive an individually numbered black alloy tax disc holder.

Early buyers also get a special track day event with rallying celebs and the first one of the line will be auctioned in aid of the Richard Burns Foundation.

A fitting tribute it ever we’ve seen one.
