Siemens launch four new Gigaset landline phones

Siemens, not content with launching one landline phone, today has launched four; the Siemens Gigaset S455 Duo, the Siemens Gigaset A160 Duo, the Siemens Gigaset C460 IP, the Siemens Gigaset SL565.
Aimed at a wide variety of users there appears to be something for everyone.
The Siemens Gigaset S455 Duo includes a speaker phone, and colour display, and advanced hands-free function which enables it to convert into a room monitor. The Siemens Gigaset S455 Duo with its integrated answering machine and is priced at £99.99. It is available at Dixons and Currys.
The Siemens Gigaset A160 Duo can hold up to 40 names and numbers in its directory and is priced around £39.99 and is available at Dixons, Currys and online.
According to Siemens, "Teenagers have a reputation for spending hours and hours on the phone" and so its answer to this life long problem is the cordless Siemens Gigaset C460 IP with its VoIP capabilities. The Siemens C460 IP connects to a normal fixed line, but also has a DSL-Router connection. This means users can switch between making traditional phone calls and internet calls at the touch of a button, and all without connecting to a PC.
The Siemens Gigaset C460 IP is priced around £79.00 and can be only be purchased online.
Finally for the style-conscious set there is the black and silver Siemens Gigaset SL565. Following the BT Glide, features include Bluetooth, a vibrating alarm, a large selection of languages, an address book for up to 250 contacts, polyphonic ring tones and SMS functionality.
The Siemens Gigaset SL565, is competitively priced around £119.00 and available from PCWorld.
