This year's must have gadgets have been announced at the Pocket-lint.co.uk Technology Awards.Winners included Sony Ericsson's K800i mobile phone, Fujifilm's Finepix F30 digital camera, Apple's MacBook Pro laptop, Sky's new HD package and Research In Motion's email device the BlackBerry Pearl.
"The Awards give confidence to consumers that what they're giving or receiving this Christmas is the best in class", said Stuart Miles, editor of Pocket-lint.co.uk.
The expert panel of judges included journalists from The Times, The Evening Standard, The Sun, The Independent, ITN News, T3 and The Metro. Product of the Year Award was voted by Pocket-lint members on the site.
“With such a high level of expertise in the judging, it's clear that the winners are the crème de la crème of the gadget world. Now consumers can make sure they don't end up with a gadget turkey they'll be selling as soon as Christmas is over."
Pocket-lint.co.uk considered over 600 products it had reviewed since December 2005 that, after much deliberation, were narrowed down to just six nominations in 14 categories before the voting began.
