Canon launches new range of SELPHY compact photo printers

Following the PIXMA range of printers launched last month Canon has launched a new range of portable printers in the UK. Called SELPHY the range consists of the following models:

SELPHY CP500: a compact, high-speed quality 300 dpi dye-sublimation direct printer capable of printing borderless postcard photo prints in 63 seconds.
SELPHY CP400: a Super compact quality 300 dpi dye-sublimation entry level direct printer capable of printing borderless postcard photo prints in 81 seconds

SELPHY DS700: 2 picolitre, 4800 x 1200 dpi ink jet printer that prints images quickly from all popular digital camera memory cards. The printer also offers a direct connection to the TV together with an easy to use remote control allows image preview, selection and printing. Also capable of printing from IrDA compatible camera-phones. It is capable of printing a borderless postcard photo print in 85 seconds.

The SELPHY CP400 and CP500 will be available from October for £119.00 and £149.00. The SELPHY DS700 will be available from November for £199.00
