LG has finally brought the Fantasy Series of LCD monitors to the UK, after debuting them at IFA in Berlin this summer.

The Fantasy Series is comprised of the Ring, the Eclipse, and the Jar, names which refer to their stand shapes. Each one has a piano black finish, and glows with a soft background light.

The first to come to the UK is the Ring, and emits a red light that echoes the red colour of its stand. It will be on sale for around £260.

Featuring a contrast ratio of 2000:1, the monitors promise crisp images against dark backgrounds, and have a response time of 4ms. It connects via a DVI-I connector, and boasts a maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024, brightness of 300cd/m2, and a viewing angle of 170º.

“Ugly or obtrusive household technology will soon be a thing of the past as consumers are now very design conscious and demand technology that fits with their home or work décor”, said Louise Walsh, Product Marketing Manager for LG.
