Proporta coloured shells for your 2G Apple shuffle

Jewel-toned protection for your mini player

Apple has barely put the shuffle on the shelves and already the accessories makers are flogging wares dedicated to the tiny, and, it must be said, rather robust little device. Their matte aluminium casing looks quite scratch-proof, but one manufacturer thinks they need protection from the elements.

Proporta has unveiled a range of colour case options for the shuffle, made of steel, silicone, and clear plastic. The company apparently decided that the nanos weren’t the only ones in need of a little colour.

In addition, coloured stereo headphones to match the cases are also available.

The three different kinds of sleeves each cost $8.95 and are available from 29 November. The coloured headphones cost $24.95, and the tiny Cable Tidies, which are useful no matter which iPod you own, cost $4.95 for a two-pack.
