Philips has dived into digital radio head on with the launch of a boombox that is DAB enabled. The AZ6000 Soundmachine integrates digital DAB radio and a top-loading CD player with built-in speakers.

Sound comes from the two-way 4in full range stereo speakers and the two-step Dynamic Boost. The unit also features an FM stereo with a 20-station memory.

AZ6000 can be powered by the mains or batteries and will cost £129 when it goes on sale next month.
