Pentax announces the Optio X

20 September 2004 19:29 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Pentax seems unstoppable on the number of cameras it is launching before Photokina at the end of the month. The latest is the Optio X.

A 5 megapixel compact digital camera. the UPS is its dividing body design that houses a revolving lens on one side and LCD monitor on the other (see pictures for better understanding).

Aside from this the usual stats apply - 3x optical zoom, a 2in display and 16 shooting modes.

With a width of just 18mm, the Optio X is also Pentax's slimmest digital camera.
