Cingular does music with the Samsung Cingular Sync

Samsung and Cingular have announced a new mobile handset in the states that promises a host of multimedia features and high speed internet access.

Called the Cingular Sync, the new phone from Samsung is exclusive to the carrier and works on its HSDPA network allowing users to access the operators download music store considerably quicker than on a standard 2G connection.

Features of the handset include an external touch sensitive keys, MP3 player, microSD memory card slot and Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo headset support.

The Cingular Sync also features a new, one-touch Cingular Music key connecting users directly to the Cingular Music store.

Available in a metallic grey finish with black accents, the 17.5mm in wide Cingular Sync features a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, a 96 x 96mm 262k colour screen, 3D gaming, speakerphone and advanced messaging capabilities. As a quad-band GSM phone (850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, and 1900 MHz).

It should be available on the Cingular network within the month.
