Apple has updated its iTunes music software today. The new update according to Apple is to allow users:"To preview and purchase high-quality hit movies plus new and classic games designed exclusively for the Fifth Generation iPod. Flip through your collection by album cover with Cover Flow, protect your iTunes library by backing up to CDs or DVDs, and much more."
Apple has also said that the update adds support for its Second Generation iPod shuffle available in shops on Friday as well as addressing a variety of stability and performance issues found in iTunes 7 and 7.0.1.
Some commentators on the web, however, are suggesting that the move is to stop DVD-Jon's fairplay system working. Software, Mac software, Music software, Apple, Audio
