Mountain Hardwear’s Torque jacket benefits from PrimaLoft insulation, which is second to none. Waterproof and insulated, the Torque provides technical detailing specifically designed for snowsports eliminating the need for a heavy mid-layer.

PrimaLoft insulation is a unique microfibre insulation which mimics the physical and thermal properties of down. At equal weights and densities, PrimaLoft is unsurpassed in its ability to keep you warmer and drier than down and other synthetics – teamed with the Ascent Nylon outer and Nylon Dobby Weave reinforcement – this is a waterproof and durable jacket and perfect for winter sports.

Features include articulated sleeves; fleece lined hand pockets; one-handed hood, waist and hem drawcords; interior water bottle pocket; zip sleeve pocket; double flap, front zip; superlight pit zips are welded and water resistant; chest pocket with water resistant zip; PrimaLoft insulated; interior MP3 pocket with earpiece cord exit; one-handed, single pull hood adjustment system; interior mesh glove and goggle pocket; drop-down season pass holder on hem; removable, adjustable, stretch powder skirt; lift ticket ring on hem.

The Torque jacket weighs in at 1.10 kg (for the large); colours include espresso/stout/aluminium; shark/titanium/lava; and it comes in sizes from S–XXL. Available at all good shops for around £220.
