In honour of its upgrade to version 4.0 of its software

Web-based storage provider Diino has released version 4.0 of its software, and is offering free 2GB of storage to new customers.

The new client adds mobile phone access, blogging features, secure email, and automated backup to its list of features.

Through one point of login, users can gain access to their Diino-hosted blog, email and backup options, and now users can also access their files through any mobile that supports web browsing. All data is encoded with 2048-bit RSA encryption to keep it safe from prying eyes. A “stream only” option on music or video files means that users can share files with contacts but only for viewing or listening, not for download. Automated backup ensures that files are backed up at scheduled times or days.

For 10GB of storage, a year's subscription costs £60, while 50GB will run £250 for a year. There's also a monthly payment option.
