Hauppauge, maker of various desktop TV products, has released a new Freeview TV card for PCs, the WinTV Nova-t 500.

Priced at £100, the Freeview card lets you watch one progammed whilst recording another, as well as record to different programmes at the same time. Hauppauge says that the device is ideal for Windows Media Center PCs, and is forward-compatible with Vista.

The card comes with Hauppauge's own TV viewing software, which lets you watch and record live TV, as well as access a 7-day programme guide, and a remote control. In addition, WingSE software lets you transfer recording to Sony PSP or Video iPod by compressing them.

The Freeview tune works through the PCI slot of your computer.
