Built around an advanced 640x480 CMOS sensor, it delivers full-size VGA video or stills up to 1024x768 (interpolated). It comes with a separate microphone that can be clipped to a monitor or to clothing to give high-quality audio when the user is recording video clips or joining a videoconference. The Creative WebCam NX Pro will cost £39.99 incl. VAT and will be available in September.
"This is the ideal solution for users who want to get straight down to sharing high-quality images for fun or for business," comments Geraldine Lee, European brand manager for WebCams with Creative. "Its high-end resolution and comprehensive software bundle make it a great 'all in one' buy."
The Creative WebCam NX gives a fast-track entry to video-based communications. It will capture video at up to 352x288 and stills at up to 640x480 (interpolated), enabling users to add images to on-line communications and explore the world of videoconferencing on the Internet. "This is a superb WebCam for people looking for a faster, easier entry to videoconferencing," explains Geraldine Lee. "Its advanced features include automatic exposure control and white balance, and the software bundle enables people to use it in a variety of ways straight out of the box.
"People trust Creative to deliver value and quality," adds Lee, "and these new cameras confirm this commitment. Whether users want to enjoy videoconferencing and messaging with video, or just want to capture and share high-quality images, these WebCams will perform.
