Dell unveils new printers and TVs, ups the specs on its XPS M1710 gaming notebook

Gamers can now fine tune their graphics power

Dell introduced a slew of new products at the DigitalLife show in New York City, including an improved gaming notebook computer, printers, and LCD TVs.

The XPS M1710 gaming notebook now allows users to overclock, or tune, the system’s Intel Core 2 Duo T7600G processor to operate at faster speeds. The notebooks incorporate XPS LightFX technology so that they strobe and pulse in time to music or games. The notebook starts at $2299, and tops out at $3,498 for a model with 512MB Nvidia 7950 GTX graphics.

Two new printers made their debut, the Dell Photo AIO 966 and Photo 926 inkjet printers. The 966 all-in-one, which will be available for $200, features fax, copier, printer, and scanner capabilities, plus a 2.4-inch LCD, memory card slots, and a PictBridge slot.

The Dell Photo AIO 926, which will retail for $100, features similar features but without the LCD panel or fax function. It’s bundled with Dell Picture Studio software.

Dell also launched two TVs, the W3207C with a 32-inch screen, and the W3707C with a 37-inch screen. Both features built-in HD TV tuners, as well as various A/V connectors. The smaller model has WXGA resolution rather than full HD, as well as a 1200:1 contrast ration and speakers that output 30W of power.

The larger of the two costs $1700 and offers full HD resolution with dual HDMI, 30W speakers, and a VGA connector for hook up to a PC.
