Canon has teamed up with the WWF to offer buyers of certain PowerShot cameras a free WWF Adoption Box.

People who buy the PowerShot A530, A540, A630, A640, or A710iS, or those who A530 and CP720 or A430 and CP720 bundles will receive an Adoption Box. Boots.com and Wilkinson Cameras are offering Dolphin, Tiger, Panda, or Orangutan adoption, while Jacobs, ASK, and Digital Depot choose to sell only Dolphons, and Jessops is only offering Orangutans.

Each box includes a soft toy, “green tips” booklet, facts about the wild animal, animal screensavers, greeting cards, and a photo of the adopted animal. After the adoption has gone through, each person will receive an adoption certificate as well as a quarterly news letter about his or her animal.

Canon Europe has worked with the WWF since 1998, and has apparently helped the organisation transform their photo library.
