Parrot releases Minikit Bluetooth speakerphone

Parrot, the maker of all sorts of Bluetooth-based accessories, has launched the Parrot Minikit hands-free mobile speakerphone.

The company is touting high audio quality as one of the main features of the Minikit because it boasts a 2W speakers and built-in omni-directional microphone.

The Minikit also features voice recognition technology so that once phone books have been set up with voice tags, true hands-free calling while driving is possible. The device will recognise five different devices, each with 150 voice tags, and will even recognise multiple languages.

Last-number redial lets you quickly get back in touch with someone, and if you need to take a private phone call, touching one button switches a call from speakerphone to mobile phone.

Ultra-compact, the Minikit weighs 3.5oz and is designed for pocketability. The battery lasts for up to 10 hours of talk time and a week of standby time, with a full recharge being reach in only 3 hours.

Look out for the Parrot Minikit later this month for £60.
