Samsung unwraps 10MP camera phone in Korea
Pixel cramming afflicts mobile phones as well as cameras

Samsung has launched the world’s first 10MP cameraphone in Korea but don’t hold your breath waiting for it to come to European shores.
It originally unveiled the device at CeBIT in March, and it’s taken a while to get it to the market. The SCH-B600 is 5mm thinner, and 10g lighter than the 7MP cameraphone, the SCH-V770.
Not only does it feature a 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom, it incorporates a TV-input jack so that it can be connected straight to a TV display for sharing videos and images.
Other camera features include auto focus and flash, manual white balance, manual focus, and burst mode.
Its capabilities extend to streaming TV through its Satellite DMB antennae, saving media on MMCmicro cards, and shooting video at 15-30fps and QVGA resolution.
And yes, it does incorporate an MP3 player as well. The B600 costs a whopping 900,000won (£500) in Korea.
