O2 unveils Jet handset for business users

No silly camera or music fun here

O2 has launched the Jet, an own-brand mobile phone that boasts 67% more talktime than the nearest comparable on-sale device.

Designed for business users, the O2 Jet claims to manage 540 hours on standby and 9.9 hours of talktime – double the talktime of the Nokia 6230i, the most popular mobile on the O2 network. It looks like a serious business user's phone, rather than a toy as so many mobiles do these days.

The Jet is a streamlined device with a simple user interface and dedicated volume and profile switches on top so that users can quickly access “meeting” or “ring” modes. It supports POP3 and IMAP4 email, and features a dedicated Bluetooth button for quick connectivity.

It comes with a 2-year warranty, a special “protective case”, a charging desk stand, and an in-car charger.

The Jet is available on monthly contracts at a range of prices, or on Pay and Go from 19th October for £60.
